Book a demo
See it applied to your ledger, not to a slide.
This is a working session, not a product tour. We will look at how Accruna would handle your actual transactions, where exceptions would land, and what your first close would look like — including the parts that would need your input.
Duration
30–45 minutes
Format
Video call, screen shared
Who joins
An accountant, not a salesperson
What you leave with
A scope and a monthly figure
Thanks for reaching out.
A member of our team will contact you shortly to arrange a time and confirm who should join from your side.
What happens in the session
Four parts, in this order.
We run the same structure every time, because it gets to a decision quickly and avoids the twenty-minute pitch nobody asked for.
Your current position
How the ledger is maintained now, who does what, and where the time actually goes.
Live walkthrough
The pipeline on real data: coding, reconciliation, exception review and the close checklist.
Applied to your ledger
We take transactions you recognise and show what an agent would propose and why.
Scope and next steps
What onboarding would involve, a realistic timeline, and a monthly figure if you want one.
| Part | Time | What we need from you |
|---|---|---|
| Current position | 5–10 min | An honest description of how the books are kept today |
| Live walkthrough | 10–15 min | Questions — interrupt whenever something looks wrong |
| Applied to your ledger | 10–15 min | A trial balance or a month of transactions if you have one to hand |
| Scope and next steps | 5–10 min | A view on timeline, and who else needs to be involved |
Preparation
What to bring, and what you do not need.
You do not need to prepare a presentation, and you do not need to clean anything up first. A rough starting position is more useful to us than a polished one.
Helpful if you have it
- A recent trial balance
- One bank statement for a normal month
- Your entity and currency list
- The systems your finance data sits in
Not needed
- Cleaned-up books or a reconciled ledger
- A prepared deck or a business case
- An NDA before the call — we are happy to sign one, but it is not a prerequisite
- Your whole finance team on the call
Who the session is designed for
One or two people from your side is ideal. More than four and the session becomes a presentation rather than a working conversation.
Founders and operators
Closing the books themselves and wanting to stop.
Controllers and finance leads
Carrying the preparation load and looking for capacity.
CFOs and VPs of Finance
Evaluating cost and capacity against the current model.
What we will ask you
- How are the books kept today? In-house, outsourced, or a mix.
- How long does the close take, really? From period end to numbers you would show someone.
- Who chases receipts? And how much of their week does it consume?
- What breaks first? The reconciliation, the reporting, or the approvals.
- Who needs the numbers? Board, investors, lenders, auditors, or just you.
- What is changing? New entity, new revenue model, a raise, an audit.
Questions worth asking us
- Which of our accounts would you not be able to reconcile automatically, and why?
- How often would a human actually look at our ledger?
- What would you need from us during a normal month?
- What happens to our existing accountant or bookkeeper?
- What would onboarding realistically cost, including our team's time?
- Where would this be weaker than our current arrangement?
Other ways to reach us
Not every enquiry needs a meeting.
Several things are faster by email — and some of them we can answer today.
Security questionnaires
Send your questionnaire and we will complete it in full, including the controls we cannot yet satisfy. No meeting required.
Integration questions
Tell us which systems you run and what they hold. We will tell you which connect cleanly, which need work, and which are not worth building.
Read before you talk
Pricing drivers, the workflow end to end, and the security model are all documented in detail — useful if you are building a shortlist.
Before you book
Questions about the demo.
If something here is unclear, ask us directly — it will make the session more useful.
An accountant, usually alongside whoever handles the commercial side. We send an accountant because the useful questions during a demo are accounting questions, and a salesperson cannot answer them convincingly.
If your evaluation needs a security or technical review, tell us when you book and we will bring the right person rather than arranging a second call.
No. Nothing needs to be sent in advance. If you have a trial balance or a bank statement you are comfortable screen-sharing, that is enough to make the session concrete.
We do not ask for system access before an engagement is agreed. Anything you share during a demo stays with the people on the call.
No. That decision is yours, and there are configurations where Accruna works alongside an existing advisor — typically as the accounting engine while they keep the strategic relationship.
What we will be direct about is duplication. If your current accountant keeps preparing the same books independently, the value of the engagement is largely lost, and we would rather flag that than take the fee.
Usually yes, in range form. With a volume figure, an entity count and a sense of your reporting obligations, we can give you a monthly range and explain the drivers on the call.
A firm quoted figure follows a short written scope, because the difference between an estimate and a commitment should be visible rather than implied.
Kick-off typically follows within a week or two of agreeing a scope, and onboarding then runs roughly four to six weeks depending on access and how much history you want loaded.
If you have a hard deadline — an audit, a raise, a board date — tell us at the start. It changes what we recommend for the first period.
That is a normal reason to book. Some of the most useful sessions we have are with teams twelve months out, working out what their ledger needs to look like before a raise.
We will not run a follow-up sequence at you afterwards. If you want to be left alone until you are ready, say so and we will note it.
Yes, and it is often the simplest way to brief colleagues who could not attend. Just ask at the start of the call.
If you would like a written summary of what we covered and what we recommended instead, we can send one — including where we said "not yet".
Not ready for a call? Send a question instead.
Email works fine for scoping questions, security reviews and integration checks. Some of those we can answer the same day.
